2005 "Ping of Death" Broomball Team Action-Shot

Broomball is a game similar to hockey, except that it is played in street shoes and using a "broom" (a wooden-handled object with plastic at the end, designed to resemble the frozen brooms originally used for the game). Broomball at Carleton is typically played on the ice rinks set up on the Bald Spot during the winter. Both hard-core and soft-core intramural teams participate, united either by floor or by a common interest or club. Some students play on several teams.

In the winter of 2008, The Jutones were the hardcore champions, WWTTD were the midcore champions, and Boller's Ballers were the softcore champions. All three return for competitive play in 2009.
