The Center for Mathematics and Computing, or CMC was built in the early 1990s between Laird and Boliou to house the Math/CS Department and public computer labs, as well as Information Technology Services (ITS).

The CMC features an underground tunnel connection to Boliou Hall, leading to some quips about a "deep link" between math and art. The CMC is also facetiously referred to as the "Center for Mind Control".
