"Comps Blues" is a short film in the style of a music video that was entered in DVD Fest 2005. The song used in it, entitled "Comps Blues (He's Still Sexy)," is an original, written and performed by Kayla McGrady '05 and Michael Berger '04, who refer to themselves as "Carls Gone Wild" in the video. The official team name and floor name used for the entry are both "4th Libe," implying that the team was living there at the time due to intensive compsing.

Summary

The music video tells the story of a Carleton senior (Elizabeth Bukey '05) who finds herself falling in love, but has no time to pursue the object of her affections because she has to complete her comps. She sings about how she has no time to engage in normal Carleton activities, such as working out at the Rec or purchasing coffee at the snack bar. She lives in a nightmare of constant study, in which even if she were hit by a truck, her deadlines would remain constant.
