Dead Days
From CarlWiki
"Dead Days" is a term used by students to refer to Reading Days, the Thursday and Friday after classes end but before Finals begin. The term is often used by those with few Finals, to imply that the Reading Days are an early weekend. However, it can also be used by those with extreme Finals to imply that they will be "dead" (socially) for those two days because they will be consumed with work.
The term "Dead Days" also indicates the state of campus activities. Campus policy prohibits clubs, teams, and other organizations from scheduling meetings, events, practices, and performances during Dead Days. Res Life and the Hall Directors will not sign Social Event Registration forms for parties scheduled during Dead Days.
