Dining Services
From CarlWiki
Dining Services is both an administrative department of the college and a branch of Bon Appetite Management Company. It operates the both of the dining halls and the Snack Bar, essentially giving it a monopoly over dining at Carleton College.
History
The Carleton Food Service operated college dining halls until 1970, when the college contracted with Saga Education Food Services.
SAGA, as it was known on campus, was purchased by Host Marriott in 1986. Three years later, SAGA was purchased by Sodexho Alliance, a French multi-national.
In June 2008, Bon Appetit Management Company (Bamco) took over as the food service operator for the college. All kitchens and Burton Dining Hall were renovated. In September, Bon Appetit began serving meals on campus. Bamco has been the food service operator at St. Olaf College for several years.
