Life at Carleton

Rogers was a student at Carleton from 1968 to 1972. He was involved with The Carletonian during that period, being photo editor by winter term of his freshman year, and writing several articles during that time. He also joined the Rugby team during his senior year.[1]

For his senior year, Rogers and fellow senior Marc Haugland were able to procure a job as official babysitters for President Howard Swearer's three sons, then aged 10, 13 and 15. The job allowed them to live in an apartment in Nutting House, but required that they be on call every evening should the Swearers require someone to watch their children.[2]

Vice President and Treasurer

Rogers returned to Carleton in the 2000s to serve as Vice President and Treasurer. In this capacity, he has primary responsibility for developing the college's budget. He has also been selected by President Robert Oden to serve on the College Council.
