- This article is about a Carleton tradition. For a DVD Fest 2005 film about that tradition, see Friday Flowers (film).
Friday Flowers are, as the name suggests, flowers sold every Friday in the Sayles-Hill Campus Center. This is the only regular occassion, other than Valentine's Day, when flowers are available for sale on campus, courtesy of a flower shop located on Division Street.
The procedure for sending Friday Flowers to someone is simple: They are sold in Great Space in Sayles, which happens to be next to the post office. Purchase the flowers, attach a card, then stick them into your target's mailbox.
Friday Flowers are commonly used to indicate romantic interest, and are sometimes used to express friendship, especially among women.
