Goat Trophy (football)
From CarlWiki
The Goat Trophy is a wooden trophy which is competed for annually between the Carleton and St. Olaf football teams every year in the Cereal Bowl. The tradition stems from an earlier tradition in basketball (see Goat Trophy (basketball)). The trophy was donated to the two schools in 1931 to go to the victor of the annual football game and was originally nicknamed "Goatrophy."[1]
The first contest was won by St. Olaf, but Carleton gained the trophy the following year. Recently, Carleton regained the trophy in 2008 for the first time since 1996, and won it again in 2009.
