Goodbye Blue Monday, often referred to as simply Blue Monday's or Monday's, is a coffee shop located on Division Street. It was co-founded by John Podeszwa ('90) and Chad Snelson in 1991.

It is the most popular (and closest) off-campus beverage location among Carleton students, offering a wider variety of coffees and teas than nearby competitors such as Hogan Brothers. It also offers free wireless internet access. It's popular enough that the Carleton Admissions Office uses it as a recruiting tool.

History

Prior to the existence of the wireless service, Monday's had a single terminal with internet access. However, certain unsavory words were automatically crossed out by the computer when typed, so students using NOTES or Caucus had to be creative to get their points across since "unsavory words" were "required" by campus culture.
