Mai Fete Island (pronounced "may fett") is one of two islands located on the Lyman Lakes, along with Stewsie Island. It features a barbeque grill and is home to frequent bonfires and other celebratory events, often featuring boombox music that can be heard from Goodhue to the East Side of campus.

Mai Fete Island was once the usual location for the Carleton's annual Mai Fete spring festival.
