NetID
From CarlWiki
A NetID (officially referred to as "CarlNetID" by ITS) is a user name and password given to incoming students, usually during the month of May, to alumni who graduated before the NetID system was implemented, and to staff and faculty. The NetID user may change the password at any time, but the user name remains constant. In the case of students, a new user name is issued upon graduation for accessing alumni services.
Security note: No one will ever ask you for your NetID password. If you receive an e-mail or are otherwise asked for your password, report this security violation immediately to your computing support provider.
Uses
A Carleton NetID provides access to all of the following services:
- ResNet, including wireless access
- Caucus
- Class registration
- Network drives (HOME and COLLAB)
- Student directory and alumni directory
- Other restricted parts of Carleton.edu
Support
If you have a Carleton NetID and cannot log in, contact your computing support provider. For students, this is the SCIC.
