Nightfall was a Jazz vocal ensemble founded in 1991 for a concert on Valentine's Day. In subsequent years, the Valentine's Day concert became a signature tradition for the group. Although most of Nightfall's songs were sung a cappella, the group did sometimes use accompaniment. The group’s repertoire tended towards the songs of the Manhattan Transfer and The Real Group, but also included such standards as Route 66, Lullaby of Birdland, and Every Time We Say Goodbye. Nightfall was disbanded in 2001.
