Quiet floor

Quiet floors are floors of a residence hall or house intended to provide a 24-hour environment conducive to studying and sleeping. Currently, the first floor of Davis Hall and all of Faculty Club are quiet areas. In general, parties are not to be found on quiet floors due to the demand that noise levels never reach a level that could disturb other residents of the floor.

As acceptible noise levels are enforced by each quiet area's RA, individual tolerances will influence how policy is enforced. Most RAs give significant leeway to their residents in the interest of maintaining a healthy community.
