Schiller (film)

"Schiller" was a film entered in DVD Fest 2004 in the style of a trailer for an epic fantasy film centering around the famous bust of Schiller. It is notable for its large cast of student extras, clad in fantasy gear, and an appearance by Dean Govoni. It was directed by Katie Newell '05, and written by her and Andrea Phelps '07.

Summary
The sinister Duke of Govoni (Dean Govoni) plots to overthrow the king of the land, and begins by stealing the "most precious relic of the royal family": Carleton's bust of Schiller. 100 years later, a band of brave warriors fight to retake the relic ("For Friedrich!"). There is also a romantic subplot.
The film uses the famous "O Fortuna" track from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.
