Traying

Traying is the sport of "borrowing" a tray from one of the dining halls and sledding down Bell Hill with it during the winter. A variant is mattressing, which involves going down the hill on one of the plastic bed matresses that all college-owned rooms are equipped with. This is a violation of college policy, but is commonly done. A slightly less fantastic idea is traying naked, which can lead to disasterous results. Traying has been a Carleton tradition since the school started using lunch trays.
