Fall Term 2009
- The Class of 2013 entered Carleton.
- Two new dorms opened. Cassat Hall and Memorial Hall were Carleton's first new on-campus residence halls since Watson Hall opened in 1967 and the first new student housing built since the town houses opened in 2001.
Winter Term 2010

Spring Term 2010
- May 21: Anonymous pranksters converted Goodsell Observatory into a giant R2D2. The display was dismantled by the college within a few hours. Nevertheless, pictures and videos of the feat were distributed widely across the Internet.
- The Class of 2010 graduated from Carleton.
