  • "A cappella" has two p's in its name. Also, the second C is generally capitalized, but I'm unsure of the Wiki policy on this. --Michael Moore '06 12:00, 27 Mar 2005 (PST)
  • (Please remember to sign your posts, Michael.) A quick Google search of carleton.edu for "a cappella" finds that it's generally all lower-case, and the Wikipedia entry follows that convention as well. But thanks very much for correcting the misspelling before it spread further. --Trevor Burnham '07 16:39, 27 Mar 2005 (PST)
  • I recognize that the Carleton wiki isn't intended to be a little Carleton encyclopedia, but all the same, the convention in wikipedia and some other wikis I've seen is for the subject term to be in boldface, at least the first time it is introduced. --Peter Gunn '92
    • Yes, that's a convention I've been trying to have on CarlWiki as well, and I've noted that in the (very incomplete) CarlWiki:Style guide. Good call on this article; since a cappella is normally italicized, I've italicized and bolded it the first time it's mentioned in the article. --Trevor Burnham '07 23:44, 8 Apr 2005 (PDT)
