Talk:Bust of Schiller

I've been away too long.

I have uploaded a photo of the 1967 Bust of Schiller when it appeared at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, MN (once located where the Mall of America is today) before a Minnesota Twins baseball game. Schiller was accompanied by Ted Lutz, '67, Ray Borens, '67, and Rick Roland, '67. Schiller was carried through the outfield to home plate by an unidentifiable Carl.

At home plate, Carleton President John Nason presented a Carleton Centennial rocking chair to Twins owner Calvin Griffith.

Prior to the game, Rotblatt All Stars had batted baseballs from Northfield to Bloomington as a publicity stunt for Carleton Centennial night at the Twins game.

The photo's uploaded, but I don't remember how to add it to the page and I don't have time to re-learn right now. Add it if you wish.

The photo was taken by David Gray, '69, whose hobby (obsession?) as a student was to take photos of people and events. He gave Carleton and Carleton organizations (like the Class of '67 for whom I am searching for reunion-relevant images) permission to publish and dispaly the images.
