Wait, so it's okay to create pages about faculty or staff that aren't Users? I thought pages about people should only be created by themselves. Chris is also an Alum... Thoughts? --Michael Moore '06 14:06, 4 Apr 2005 (PDT)

  • Yes, it's fine to create pages about faculty or staff, as long as they're tactful (no "Chris Doten was an ITS guy who was bad at his job"). Notable alumni can also have articles created about them (see: Margaret Simms '67), but non-notable alumni cannot unless they fall into the faculty or staff categories as well. One can complain that this article isn't particularly useful (one that says what he accomplished while in his staff position would be), but it's not a policy violation.
