Talk:Reformed Druids of North America

I doubt that 2004 is the correct date for the return to roots for RDNA. When I was at Carleton from 2000 to 2004, it was certainly not a generic new age group, but had very distinct traditions and strong connections with alumni, including those that had founded the 1963 group. I believe Chris Middleton, 2002, may have helped create that situation, but it might have pre-dated his leadership.

However, despite the connections and traditions, the group was not particular spiritual. The rituals, by in large, seemed more like role-playing games than cultic acts, but were still complete with torch-lit processions and the like. During this time, a splinter pagan group was created, Carleton Universal Pagans, which conducted more spiritual (and more wiccan) services. But that group did not even last to its founders' graduations.
