The Bald Spot
From CarlWiki
- This article is about a publication. For the central campus quad, see Bald Spot.
The Bald Spot is a publication launched in Spring Term 2006. Written in the style of The Onion, and the St. Olaf publication The Pickle, it is an 8-page newspaper-style collection of absurd student-written pieces. On the front of the first issue, it describes itself as the "Journal of Humor Studies, Carleton College." Its name is a pun on the Bald Spot and the center of the head of Johann Friedrich von Schiller, whose image is featured on the front page.
The Bald Spot is funded by the CSA. It intends to publish two issues per term in the future, though that funding has not yet been allocated.
