Knightingales
From CarlWiki
The Carleton Knightingales (also informally referred to as The 'Gales) are a popular all-female a cappella group. Founded in 1982, the group is Carleton's second oldest a cappella group (after the Carleton Singing Knights) and the oldest all-female group.
The Knightingales recently celebrated their 25th anniversary during the 2007 winter term.

Rehearsals
The Knightingales rehearse an average of three times a week at Dacie Moses House. Rehearsals last between 1.5 and 2 hours.
Performances
The Knightingales are quite a vocal presence on the Carleton campus (pun certainly intended). Most notably, the group performs a traditional large concert once a term (often in the Concert Hall, occasionally in conjunction with other campus a cappella groups). In addition, The Knightingales participate in Carleton's many less-conventional concert traditions, such as Screw Your Roommate (during fall trimester), Reading Days performances, the Parent's Weekend concert, faculty events, and other special occasions.
The Knightingales have also been known to perform off-campus, including stints in the Northfield community and trips to Macalester's annual "A Cappella Fest."
Repertoire
The Knightingales arrange all of their own music. Their repertoire encompasses a variety of musical styles, ranging from spirituals and traditional songs to the work of contemporary artists such as Jason Mraz and Britney Spears. The group's "theme song" is an original work entitled "Rugged."
A sampling of current selections include:
