Upperclassman

An upperclassman at Carleton is any student who is not a freshman. It is a gender-neutral term. The plural, "upperclassmen," is more commonly used, as in "All upperclassmen may apply for the position."

It can also mean a student who is a junior or a senior, giving the term some ambiguity. However, in Carleton usage, it usually encompasses sophomores as well.
