User talk:Opie
From CarlWiki
Opie is a refugee from the alumni listserv. He (generic, gender non-specific, but none too PC) is a construct, a figment, I'd like to think an archetype, but what do I know, really. Opie is a pseudonym, an alias, an acronym for OP, one person, who could be anyone, any DNA, from any era, any locale. In my mind, my own virtual reality, Opie is on a quest for truth, justice, integrity, honesty, and compassion. It is an on-going endeavor, requiring substance, lifelong learning, adaptation, empathy, and caring; curiosity, willingness, grit. --Opie 15:26, 7 February 2007 (GMT) Jim Wrede '73
I would ascribe OP to the mythology or ideals of Carleton under culture, using that term loosely.
