Five issues are published each year: Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, and an end-of-summer Supplement. In addition to being mailed out to alums in print form, it has been available online since its Fall 2000 issue. Back-issues can be found in Gould Library.

Voice debuted during the Fall of 1937. The earliest mention of it in The Carletonian was a piece in the November 3, 1937 issue soliciting students whose parents or grandparents attended the college to inform the Publications Office for a new magazine referred to as "The Voice of Carleton Alumni."
