Winter Term
From CarlWiki
Winter Term is the second term of the Carleton academic year. It starts in January, making it the first term of the calendar year. It is followed by the two-week Spring Break in March, and then Spring Term.
Weather
Winter Term is well-known for short bursts of intensely cold weather, intermittent with long periods of pleasant snow. During this term, the college's sidewalks are actively kept dry, and many adventurous students bicycle around campus. Also notable are the ice rinks set up in the Bald Spot for this term, allowing broomball to be played.
