Midwinter Ball

Midwinter Ball is a major social dance event held in Sayles-Hill and Sevy on the Saturday night of Midterm Break every Winter Term. It is the most popular dance of the year, and hundreds of students don formal dress for it. In recent years, the dance has featured three different styles in three different locations: Ball-room dancing in Great Hall, swing dancing in the Tea Room, and party/club-style dancing in Great Space. The event is sponsored by Campus Activities.

There is a five-week Social Dance class offered every winter devoted exclusively to cramming for Midwinter Ball.
