I was a student at Carleton in the mid-'60s when there was one computer and one photocopy machine on campus. In the 1970s, I learned Basic on a TRS-80 with 4k of RAM and a cassette tape deck for storage. I learned Hypercard on a Mac 512 and a series of other Macs. In '94, I began writing simple HTML and was Web Master for the Hopkins High School (Golden Valley, Hopkins, and Minnetonka, MN) Web site beginning that year until I retired from teaching in 2002. Until 2010, I stayed out of trouble by writing teaching materials and consulting for the College Board. In March 2005, I discovered Wikipedia and CarlWiki. In the spring of '06, I finally got around to blogging. I still don't understand Twitter, but I do use Facebook and Google+.
